How are you able to sense your body parts with closed eyes or even in a dark room?

So, what is this Kinesthetic sense, is it similar to other five senses of body? Kinesthesis also refers to Kinesthesia, is perception of body movements. It involves being able to detect changes in body position and movement without relying on information on five senses. Kinesthetic senses provide information about positions and movement of muscles and joints. You are using your Kinesthetic sense in your normal life while walking, running, driving, dancing, swimming and anything that requires your body movement. WHAT DOES YOUR KINESTHETIC SENSE DO? As said above that these senses provide info even when your eyes are closed or you are in a dark room thereby letting you can still sense your body parts.
